When Natalie and Shannon traded corporate careers for island life to take over one of Roatan’s most established dive centers, they brought new energy, purpose, and a deep love for the ocean.
As passionate divers themselves, their vision was to evolve Sun Divers into a modern, mission-driven destination, one that reflects both the laid-back spirit of the island and their commitment to sustainability.
The Challenge
Sun Divers was entering a new chapter and needed a refreshed brand identity. As Roatan’s first PADI Eco Center, they needed a look that felt vibrant and current, while staying rooted in the dive center’s trusted legacy. The challenge was to create a visual system that balanced professionalism with personality — something that could capture the excitement of next-level underwater adventures while also reflecting the relaxed, welcoming, and fun vibe topside.
The Approach
Because the Sun Divers logo was already well-recognized in Roatan, it was essential to honor its legacy while moving it forward. We refined the logo with a cleaner, more modern font to signal fresh momentum and introduced brighter colors to echo the vibrancy of the underwater world. The iconic eagle ray was redrawn to soar from left to right, aligning with the eye’s natural reading flow, while the circle remained as a symbol of Sun Divers’ connection to both the dive community and the marine ecosystem.
The Impact
The result was a bold yet approachable identity system designed to grow with Sun Divers as they continue redefining what it means to dive with purpose in the Caribbean. The refreshed brand now captures both their professionalism and their playful spirit, strengthening their position as leaders in eco-conscious diving.
